Book Club Monday; Nov book; 2018 Planning

Hello Readers!

Monday, seven pm, somewhere within the one story building off the lower parking lot at St. Elizabeth Seton, we’ll be discussing Resisting Happiness by Matthew Kelly.

Tip: cruise over to pages 153 – 154 for the synopsis provided, then begin from the beginning and see what touches you. This is the yellow paperback provided to parishioners by several organizations and individuals at Easter this year.

November 13th is Holy Desperation: Praying as Though Your Life Depends On It by Heather King.

Then on 2018! Thinking we’ll rev up again in February. So bring your ideas or leave a comment as to what you’d like to read! It would be wonderful is someone could lead a discussion on a work of Catholic fiction. So far the short list has Where We Got the Bible: Our Debt to the Catholic Church by Henry G. Graham and Heaven Starts Now: Becoming a Saint Day by Day by Fr. John Riccardo. There’s a book on Saint Mary Magdalene by Fr. Sean Davidson; interesting topic but can someone see if the book seems right for the group? There’s another called 13 Ways to Pray as well. Something else called A Catholic Guide to Minimalism as well …

See you Monday!
