Very Special Meeting May 17th

Very pleased to announce the following. This replaces the previously announced May 9th meeting.

Tuesday, May 17th, 7:00 – 8:30 pm special joint meeting with the Mental Health Ministry in the Parish Center Fireside Room to discuss The Catholic Guide to Depression by Aaron Kheriaty, MD.

Maybe you try to learn about money, diet, fitness; why not mental health? Glean some ideas to help someone in your life, sooner or later. Search for “kheriaty” on YouTube.

Mental Health Ministry leader and book club member Lorraine suggests focusing on the intro and chapters 2, 4, 7, and 8. It skims really well though so I intend to read the whole thing.

The skinny on more upcoming meetings is on the website as follows:

Monday, June 13th, doors open 6:55 pm Beautiful Mercy: Experiencing God’s Unconditional Love So We Can Share It With Others selections by Pope Francis, Cardinal Wuerl, Scott Hahn and others

Book club will resume Second Monday nights in October to discuss My Life with the Saints by James Martin, SJ. This is a longer book — if you are pressed for time, read about all the female saints, or read about all the male saints!

More meetings are tbd but read up for The  Screwtape Letters in November; The Hidden Power of Kindness: A Practical Handbook for Souls Who Dare to Transform the World, One Deed at a Time by Fr. Lovasik in December;  7 Secrets of Divine Mercy in April 2017; Hail, Holy Queen by Scott Hahn in May.

Happy Reading and thanks for your participation and support! -Karla
